THE PEOPLE : A TRIBUTE TO FOOD & COMMUNITY
This month we are extremely happy to highlight of one of the unique aspects of this unique party, the food. And just in time for Michelle Obama’s new organic garden…
From jump-street, The People has been honored to welcome some of the flyest yummies in the Bay from the likes of Chef Anita the Lumpia Lady, Taste of Africa, Jason Harvey of OFC, and Chef Florida.
This month, we will be joined by one of the Bay’s favorite sons, a young Impresario of all things food related, Bryant Terry. Terry is the co-author of the acclaimed book, Grub, and his latest cookbook, Vegan Soul Kitchen, is hot off the presses. Terry's work proves that food can be good to you without being bad for you. He combines that with the social consciousness necessary to make that food sustainable and available for all communities.
Knocking down the false barriers between culture, community, and consciousness makes Terry a perfect fit for The People, where coming together through the music speaks as loud as any words about the world we want to create. Saturday, Bryant is teaming up with other talented Bay area food artist/activists to bring fresh flavor to THE PEOPLE.
Well…on Saturday April 25th, its our world again.
