It's been almost exactly three years since Routes, the exceptional collaborative LP from London production outfit LV and UK poet/vocalist Joshua Idehen, landed. Now, the three artists have announced plans to release a new batch collaborative work, first dropping a new single next month with plans to issue a second album together later this year.

Set to see a release via Keysound on May 16, the "Imminent" single finds LV crafting a slinking, percussion-heavy slice of UKG, on top of which Idehen launches into a cautioning tale inspired by the "the real-life whisperings" he overheard in Hackney following the shooting of a young man. The trio's new single can be streamed in full below, and more details of the outfit's—ahem—imminent second collaborative LP are expected to arrive in the coming weeks. | PRESS*PLAY>>

For the latest OKP premiere, we get a pairing of two of our favourite talents from across the pond. UK producer Eric Lau and soul songstress, Tawiah, are teaming up for a new collabo EP, Love Call. We’ve seen Lau and Tawiah create greatness on these pages over the years, so I have high expectations for what they cook up as a producer/singer duo. The 5-track EP will be out on May 12th via Northern Shore Records. Love Call is said to take on a more alternative approach than past collaborations you may have heard from Lau and Tawiah. Mop Mop is the brainchild of Andrea Benini, musician, producer, DJ who has been active for more than ten years exploring a large variety of musical genres, from Club to Jazz music. Anyone familiar with Mop Mop will already know that their refined style has already lend them a unique place somewhere between the worlds of Jazz, Funk, Latin and the Italian Postmodern style allowed the band to achieve the international film business as part of Woody Allen‘s‚ To Rome With Love‘ movie soundtrack. But with their latest LP‚ Isle Of Magic‘, Mop Mop digs even deeper to bring us one of their most engaging and organic records yet. The Canadian trio of live musicians and a DJ better known as Keys N Krates were recently given the honor of putting together a mix for the hit BBC 1Xtra radio program Diplo & Friends. Like other's before them, the group went deep into their arsenal to showcase tracks from fellow peers, various special edits, and originals / remixes created by the guys over the course of a hours time. The mix dabbles heavily between trap and bass genres, but features a live element with Adam Tune's drumming talents on display throughout the guest set.
